Shawna Foster

Reverend Shawna Foster is the minister serving Two Rivers Unitarian Universalist. In addition to preaching and collaborating on worship, Rev. Shawna also coordinates our social justice efforts and provides pastoral care to our members and friends. Rev. Shawna Foster has had the privilege of being married to her spouse Tom Foster for 15 years and being the parent of two children. When the Foster family were selecting a faith home, they chose Unitarian Universalism because “we knew what kind of spiritual life we wanted to have – we wanted our children to know all religious possibilities and to be supported in choosing a spiritual path that was meaningful to them.”

Professionally, Rev. Foster is a member of the Steering Committee of the Poor People’s Campaign with Rev. William Barber III, serves on the Open Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Association, is a member of the Church of the Larger Fellowship, a moderator at the Aspen Institute, and a board member of Iraq Veterans Against the War.

A proud alum of Meadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago, Rev. Shawna Foster has eight years of ministerial training in Unitarian Universalist congregations, community ministry, and online ministry. In addition to ministry, Rev. Shawna loves kayaking, pottery, and the mountains we call home.
