Q&A with Filmmaker David Quint and documentary subject Urban Quint
As a boy, David Quint first used a camera to create GI Joe action figure movies in his friend’s back yard. When he was 19 he got his first “big break” filming ski-school classes in Aspen, CO. He has since gone on to work as a director, cinematographer and aerial cameraman on feature films, documentaries, commercials and music videos around the country for clients such as MTV, The Amazing Race, 48 hours, The Discovery Channel, NFL Films, and 60 Minutes. After more than 20 years of creating images with state-of-the-art motion picture camera technology, he never dreamed he would inadvertently shoot a feature-length film on a camera phone. FATHER UNKNOWN is this film.
