The Dalai Lama engages with leading scientists in the fields of Cosmology, Quantum Physics, Cognitive Science / Psychology, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, and Genetics to illuminate the inseparability of science and Buddhist philosophy. From the time he was a child, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama was fascinated by mechanical objects and how things work. As he got older, this interest was directed toward science and technology, with a particular interest in how scientific theories and findings can work with Buddhism to address the world’s fundamental problems. “The Dalai Lama: Scientist” follows His Holiness throughout the decades as he partakes in critical analyses with leading scientists, discovering shared wisdom, insights, and compassion. Building a foundation of understanding the universe and the mind, the Dalai Lama works to help dissolve a sense of separation and cultivate compassion for all beings in a way that’s practical to advancements in science.
