Jerry Johnson
68 year old man of Welsh / Italian genes. Widower for the last five years after 42 years of marriage to the most beautiful Hawaiian woman God ever created. Jerry became a Baha’i after returning from Vietnam in 1971 having served with the 1st Martine Division as a Recon Ranger. Jerry was then a deputy Sheriff in Orange County California for 13 year; Emergency and low-income housing director for Shasta County CA. spent 18 years as the Pacific Resource person for the Continental Board of Counsellors of Australasia working in Samoa, Tonga, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Guam, Saipan, the Philippines and finally in Fiji where he served on the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Fiji. Moved to current home in Grand Junction in 2006 and now working as a “hands-on” volunteer for Hope West Hospice Care Center and as a community hospice companion.
